Nebraska American Legion Selects Boschult Scholarship Recipients

(Lincoln) April 1, 2025 – The Nebraska American Legion has selected five recipients of the 2025 Edgar J. Boschult Memorial Scholarship. The Edgar J. Boschult memorial scholarship is awarded to full-time students in the University of Nebraska system that are enrolled in military science courses or to honorably discharged veterans attending the University of Nebraska full-time.
The Edgar J. Boschult Scholarship was created in 1947 in memory of Edgar J. Boschult. Boschult was a veteran of World War I and Past Department Commander of the Nebraska American Legion. Boschult returned to serve his country in World War II and was killed in action on November 8, 1944.
The recipients of $500.00 Scholarships are Rigel H. Rowe, Sacramento, CA UNMC (USAF ROTC); Gabrielle L. Martinez, Lincoln, NE, UNL (Navy ROTC/Marine Corps Option); Emily O. Augustin, Shelby, NE, UNL (Army ROTC/National Guard); Tyson Klinger, Lincoln, NE, UNL (USAF ROTC); and Chloe G. Johnston, Lincoln, NE UNL (Army ROTC).
