LegionCare – $5,000 Accidental Death No Cost Benefit

Legionnaires in good standing are eligible for LegionCare, a $5,000 NO COST Accidental Death Benefit through Legionnaire Insurance Trust (LIT). Legionnaires cannot be turned down for this important, no cost coverage; however, activation is required.

LegionCare provides the following:

– $5,000 No Cost Accident Benefit: This benefit provides a Legionnaire’s family members with a check for $5,000 should the Legionnaire fall victim to a fatal accident while traveling on official American Legion business.

– $1,000 No Cost Accident Benefit: This benefit provides a Legionnaire’s family members with a check for $1,000 should the Legionnaire fall victim to any other covered accident.

LIT was formed in 1966 and has been so successful in its more than 40 years that today some 2 million Legionnaires in 48 participating Departments are enrolled in this unique program.
