Nebraska Sons of The American Legion Selects Scholarship Recipients

(Lincoln) May 6, 2026 – The Nebraska Sons of The American Legion selected four recipients of the Nebraska Sons of The American Legion Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a current Nebraska Sons member or to a direct male descendant of a veteran. The student must attend a Nebraska institution of higher education.
The recipients of $500.00 scholarships are Reece Heineman of Thurston; Ryan Rifer of Orchard; Derek Nanke of Plattsmouth; and Tucker Bickford of Weeping Water.
