Nebraska American Legion 2024-2025 Lottery Winners Announced

Lincoln (January 28, 2025) – The Nebraska American Legion held the drawing for its annual lottery fundraiser at their Mid-Year Conference on January 20 in Norfolk. All proceeds of the lottery are used to support our Nebraska American Legion Programs.
The $2,500 grand prize winner was Robert Wilhelm of Unadilla. Chris Mehringer of McCook won $1,000, and Virgil Preister of Humphrey won $500. The five $200 winners were: William Potter of Valentine; Thomas Lundquist of Omaha; Paul Brown of Gretna; Fred Craigie of Lincoln; and Beverly Neel of Wayne. The five $100-dollar winners were: Dan Benes of Valparaiso; Don Nelson of Clay Center; and Ken Schmid of Bellwood; Doug Frahm of Amelia and National Vice Commander, James Kellogg. Both Frahm and Kellogg forfeited their $100 prize for a chance at the grand prize.
